U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Compliance & Legal Use Statement
FCC Compliance Notice
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
-
This device may not cause harmful interference, and
-
This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
The MC-V12 Tactical Communications Device has been designed and tested to meet FCC requirements for digital and intentional radiators under applicable sections of 47 CFR Part 15 and, where authorized, Part 90 (Private Land Mobile Radio Services) or Part 97 (Amateur Radio Service), depending on user configuration and licensing.
Authorized Operation and Licensing
-
The MC-V12 is a software-defined radio (SDR) platform capable of transmitting on multiple frequencies.
-
Users are responsible for ensuring that the device operates only within frequencies and power levels authorized by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for their class of license or license-exempt use.
-
Unlicensed transmission on restricted frequencies (e.g., public safety, aviation, cellular, or government bands) is strictly prohibited and may result in fines or enforcement actions under 47 U.S.C. § 301.
-
Users operating under Part 90 or Part 97 must hold the appropriate authorization or amateur license and follow applicable technical and operational limits.
Interference and RF Exposure
-
The MC-V12 uses a high-gain, directional antenna that concentrates RF energy into a narrow beam. Users must maintain proper distance and orientation to comply with FCC RF exposure limits in 47 CFR § 1.1310.
-
The device must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter unless such configuration has been authorized.
-
If harmful interference to licensed services is observed, operation must cease immediately until corrective measures are implemented.
Encryption & Key Management Compliance
-
The MC-V12 includes optional encryption features to protect lawful communications.
-
The system does not permanently store encryption keys; keys reside only in volatile memory and must be provisioned by the user via SSH session or removable media at startup.
-
Users must ensure compliance with U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) or International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) when using, transferring, or exporting encryption-enabled configurations.
-
Unauthorized use of encryption features for unlawful interception or evasion of lawful monitoring may violate 47 U.S.C. § 605 and other federal statutes.
Operational Responsibility
-
The MC-V12 is intended for lawful communications, research, emergency response, and authorized tactical operations.
-
It is the user’s responsibility to comply with all applicable FCC rules, obtain necessary licenses, and operate the equipment in a manner consistent with national and local laws.
